In disaster related ministry, preparation and flexibility are the keys. Volunteers in Mission, known as VIM teams, are the backbone of disaster response and relief in the United Methodist Church. They usually work in the recovery phase after a disaster takes place. Our Eastern Pennsylvania Conference provides the needed training.

Each year in mid-July, there is a week-long mission trip from St. Paul's United Methodist to Heart and Hand in Philippi, WV. The goal of these trips is to improve housing conditions for people living in one of the poorest counties in the state.

Join the groups of youth and adults who go to Grace United Methodist in Harrisburg on the third Sunday of the month. To help local neighborhood friends that come to Grace United Methodist for breakfast, basic clothes and supplies.

The Lancaster United Methodist Inner-City Alliance (LUMINA) is an United Methodist ministry which offers the impoverished the light of hope: to encourage children and youth through Christian character building, to empower families through life-skill education, and to equip those in need with basic necessities and proper clothing for work and school.

We are blessed to have a HUB of Mission Central, a mission program and warehouse located in Mechanicsburg, here at St. Paul's. Through Mission Central various UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) kits are distributed for use around the world.

This ministry delivers shoe-boxes packed with gifts to children around the world. After receiving shoe-box gifts, children are invited to enroll in The Great Journey, their 12-hour discipleship program where children learn how to follow Christ and share their faith with others.
