What St. Paul's people have in common is our commitment to Jesus Christ and following him. To us, "following Jesus" means being like him by loving God and loving other people. Our buildings, our programs, our events - they are all about how we can love God more passionately and love people more practically.
St. Paul's is not just a big building, or an organization with lots of programs and events. At heart, St. Paul's is people like you, doing life together with all of its ups and downs, trying to make a difference in the world.
We follow Jesus because everything about him amazes us. We believe he was God’s own son, a flesh and blood person showing us how loving God really is. We believe he died an excruciating death to solve the very real problem of evil that is destroying our world. And we believe that he was raised from the dead—in fact, he is living today—which gives us tremendous confidence that we too can face death with hope, and live a new life of inner peace and joy right now.
At St. Paul's, we join with millions of Christians and nearly two-thousand years of saints who have traditionally accepted the Apostle's Creed as a summary of the key points, as explained in the Bible and passed on through the Church around the world and across the centuries.
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; the third day he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of the Father Almighty, from thence he shall come again to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
Beyond that, the best way to get to know St. Paul's is to get to know our people. Visit one of our worship experiences. Contact us and set up a time to tour our building. We're excited to meet you.
